Recitation Circle V. 2:
Brainstorm for five minutes all the texts you know from memory. Then, set the timer for fifteen minutes. Sit in a circle, close your eyes, and hold hands. Anyone can begin reciting a text, and everyone else who knows that text will also follow along in saying it. If everyone forgets how the rest of a text goes, stop and move on. Repetition of a text is permissible, as well as long pauses between recitations. No songs.
Dance Show:
I selected five songs: (1) Otis Redding: Sitting on the Dock of the Bay (2) Claude Debussy: Clair de Lune, for solo piano (3) Lipps Inc: Funky Town (4) Chaka Khan: I Feel for You (5) Enya: Sail Away
I also brought the following props: a net, black heels, a red bucket, a long cylindrical wooden pole, and chairs that were already in the room.
Each member picks a number which corresponds to a song. In numerical order, each person goes up and dances/moves to it while the rest watch as a seated audience.
